Cross Yarra Partnership - Video

A bit of fun to play with Astro, the Robo-Safety dog, an endearingly cute piece of modern technology. It’s always intriguing to see new technology in action, especially the more similar it becomes to things we recognise like a real animal. 

Our team enjoyed filming Astro, shooting with low angles at robotic eye level and wide shots to capture the movement of the little critter in the Metro Tunnel prior to it’s opening. We also brought a GoPro which we attached to the top of the dog to get an entirely different perspective, the point of view of the beast in motion. It feels very science fiction to see a piece of technology used like this on a construction site.
