Terra Verde - Drone + Video + Photography
We captured the recent TBM (tunnel Boring Machine) arrival for Terra Verde, an exciting milestone for the Suburban Rail Loop. Our team met the Terra Verde team at the Port of Hastings in regional Victoria and used ground level video and photography as well as the drone to capture this moment.
The brief for this shoot was to capture the scale and beauty of the environment. Our drone was perfect for this, as we could navigate as far as we wanted from the boat, and highlight the stunning maritime landscape around it. We also set up a video camera to capture ground level time lapse whilst flying the drone to give another visually exciting angle.
These kinds of milestones are a great opportunity for our team to flex their creative muscles, playing with movement within the frame. This is a style we particularly enjoy at Misheye, in this case allowing the ships movement to be the action within the fixed frame be it in the air on the ground.
When the ship was securely docked, we started adding movement to our camera work. From a safety perspective this meant we could get more close-ups of the ship's features, both from the air using the drone and from the ground.
