Landscape plus social media videos
It was so exciting to shoot and cut together these short social videos for Landscape Plus, showcasing the beautiful garden areas they are developing across multiple locations.
Landscape Plus reached out to us to complete a series of short videos showcasing their three projects currently under construction, Seafarers, Richmond RV and Chadstone, with a few reference videos and a script for each location. These are really exciting briefs to bring to fruition as they allow us heaps of creative flexibility. From the reference videos, we can study its style and understand what the client likes about it. From there, we can start to see how we can bring Misheye to it, what aspects of the video highlight the clients key messaging as well as what shots and visual ideas we can execute better. Another step in pre-production was ensuring our videography team had some time to sit with the provided script ensuring they emphasise the requested talking points and rehearsing any new shooting angles.
From here, our video team was able to arrive confident on site, ready for the site managers to address the camera. Interviewing the actual site managers for each project meant that our team could ask immediate follow up questions to what was mentioned in the script and therefore directly inform what aspects of the site they needed to capture to complement the dialogue in the edit. Shooting for the edit is an incredible skill our videographers possess, which we think is really evident in how smooth and seamless these videos feel. It’s the ability to think on the fly, but also not be afraid to ask questions about the subject of the shoot that really ensures our team has plenty of beautiful footage when it comes to stitching it together for the final videos.
What we love about these videos is that they prove that as much as the shots chosen are important in highlighting the work, the editing is the secret art form that brings it all together. A seamless, light edit that creates a flow between the images and dialogue creates something refreshing, insightful and attention grabbing.
