Islamic Museum of Australia Shoot

A couple of weeks ago i was commissioned to shoot a beautiful new building that has popped up in Thornbury, Melbourne. The Islamic Museum of Australia opened it's doors to the public in late February and is a must see not only for its striking displays of Islamic art, history and links to Australian culture but also its architecture. Designed by Desypher architects, the former industrial building boasts a beautiful perforated corten skin that allows light to filter in during the day and illuminate the the foyer with spectacular patterned light, whilst at night allow light to gently filter out onto the street.
